  After effects magical book advice

  Hi All

  I have a task and wanted some advice of how to approach it. I have a shot of a book and the lady is turning the pages. I want to make the book come alive so it glows and has a nice haze around the pages. The haze moves as the pages are turned. Maybe some sparkle as well.

  I was thinking of utilising Trapcode Particular and glow effects. But I am a bit stuck of the best method to pull this kind of effects off.

  I think I’d probably use a levels effect to create a black and white copy of the video, so that I’m left with the book pages as the only white thing. Then adding a glow to this and using transfer modes, I should get quite a nice look. You might also want to check out Video Copilot’s free colour vibrancy. It’s like glow, but…well .. more vibrant
