I’m wondering about how these settings affect general video quality with regards to color information..

I see that the file I get from a straight (unmatted) render is 3 times the size of a premultiplied (matted), and I wonder why this is so. What kind of information gets lost with the other?

The videos I render are not yet color graded, I will do that later, so if I get more color information by going for straight (unmatted), this is obviously a better option, but if there is no difference I will of course take the smaller filesize ????

    Does anyone know?
