Hi everyone! I’m trying to figure out how to create a mask on a video file that is on a 3D cylinder via the CC Cylinder effect. I make LEGO stopmotions, and I am creating digital lip sync animation. I open my digital face video file and align it to the LEGO cylindrical face. When I need to mask the digital face layer though, like when LEGO hair covers it for example, it masks the original 2D image, and so the mask is then not properly aligned with the 3D cylinder. So how do I create a properly aligned mask on a video with CC Cylinder applied? I would REALLY appreciate some help! Thanks.

If I’m understanding it correctly, you probably just need to pre-comp your layer to stop the mask from distorting or shifting your effect.

The digital face layer is already pre-composed. The mask is not distorting my effect. Contrarily, the effect is distorting my mask.
