Motion Control on a budget
Hello,
I’m trying to stitch two videos together with a hidden cut in the middle. While the cam is panning left to right, I’m masking the first footage and revealing the second. I’m using a wardrobe door as a guide for the mask and so far the trick is going well. My problem is that the two videos aren’t perfectly steady, event though we used a tripod. Is there a way to connect the movement of the first clip to the second, so they can wiggle the same way?

This is what stabilization is for. Use the point tracking stabilizer (so you have control, vs the warp stabilizer which is automated), get the footage stable, and you can then match those sections up.

You don’t need to stabilize both shots. You only need to do it with one. Get one rock-hard stabilized and then use motion tracking to tie it to the other one.
