  • DV tape from Print to Tape won’t give audio to desktop DVD recorder

Posted by Mp Peters on January 26, 2006 at 5:21 am

I have a weird problem wherein the DV tape I make from Print to Tape stopped giving audio via firewire to a desktop DVD recorder.
    Yesterday, no problem.
    Today, no audio.
All my sequences are still 16 bits and 48 kHz.
The DVD recorder will take the audio from the tape I made yesterday but not from the tapes I made today.

    HELP!

are you printing audio out to the firewire device and not desktop. I assume your using pp.

Both audio and video go to the tape successfully. all of a sudden, now the tape I made won’t firewire the audio to the dvd deck.

try resetting the camera by pulling the lithium out or maybe resetting the deck

Problem is that this happened with two different cameras and two different DVD recorders.
I am willing to reset the cameras but I really think it’s upstream.
