  how do i create an xml file to automate multiple effects and layer duplications?

  Hey video freaks,

  Can anyone help me out here?

  I want to automate a composition to duplicate a layer three times, switch the transfer mode of each layer to screen, apply multiple effects to each layer (with different settings for each layer) and then precompose the three layers.

  I’m thinking that a .xml file could do that, as I’ve used them before as part of purchased templates but I’m not sure how to do that.

  Any help greatly appreciated.

  You’re looking for a script to do what you’re describing. (.jsx file). There’s a whole WORLD of AE scripting out there!
