  Can you nest Dynamic Link compositions?

  This is more of a workflow question.

  If you have project with lots of shots with complex transitions at both the head *and tail, should you;

  a) Nest dynamically linked clips in Premiere (I’m not sure this is even possible, but ideal)
  b) Construct the project in Premiere to lock-off then replace entire composition with single dynamic link clip (but then you get audio sync issues of you need to massage the timing due to the VFX
  c) Construct the entire thing in AE, using AE’s sound previews (Not looking forward to trying to get timing and mixing right in the AE interface)

  So what do you do when you are trying to construct a project that sits somewhere between an AE and Premiere project?

  Personally, I’d probably either:

  d) Send individual pairs of clips to Ae via Dynamic Link, then use Render and Replace in Pr, or

  e) Set it up in Pr, then import the .prproj and finish in Ae.

  Thank you so much, Walter. That was the key point I was having trouble getting my head around.

  I’ve nearly finished the project and it’s looking great, thanks to that one little piece of information.

  Duplicating first so you can always go back seems to work well too.
