How does working on the cloud affect linked files?
My company is getting ready to move everything to the cloud (probably OneDrive) – that’s all assets: photos, video files, native Adobe files, project files, etc.
My question is probably silly, but once we move to the cloud, how does this affect how we link to assets? Do you link to the location on the cloud, or do you download the file from the cloud and create a local copy of it?
How about rendering video files, are all the rendered files stored on the cloud and you just use it like a local drive?

Most cloud storage providers have a sync feature that allows you to work locally in your hard drive like you always do (inside one specific folder), while your files are mirrored to the cloud in the background.
We use Dropbox that way, but the same approach can work with OneDrive, Box, and Google Drive.
