Fonts not installing properly, and they do not show up in fonts menu within AE
I installed a new font (unzipped to my Mac desktop, and then dropped it into fonts folder within Library directory). Apparently, this is all I am supposed to do in order for the font to show up in AE. I restarted AE (17.2 release), and tried looking for the new font. However, it was not there. I noticed in my fonts folder, the otf file has an “F” Icon rather than showing the font itself. I had other fonts in the folder with the same “F” icon, and I noticed that none of them show up within AE. Only the otfs that show the font and not the “F” are available within AE. I can’t figure out how to fix it, however. What does the “F” mean, and does it indicate that the font somehow did not install properly? Do you know how I can fix this issue?
