    Hi Everyone,

I’m trying to make an absorb animation where the whole layer (full of shapes) get absorbed into a single point.

Any tips/tutorial/plugin recommendation would be appreciated!

PS I’m new to Creative Cow, if I post in the wrong place let me know, thanks!

Hi Ruo. There are so many ways of doing this and they would all look different. Can you show an example or describe more completely what you want. i.e. I imagine you don’t want it to just scale from 100 to 0. Should it smear, should it twirl? Should the shrinking image have straight edges or should it be more fluid? etc.

Try these and see if anything works for you:

    -Optics Compensation:
default settings: animate FOV from 0 to 180 will curl the layer up into a ball at the “View Center” location
“Reverse Lens Distortion” gives more of a “jump to hyperdrive” effect

    -CC Flo Motion:
    uncheck “Tile Edges”
Place 1 knot and animate its “Amount”, if you get too much tearing, increase Fallof towards 2

    -CC Radial ScalWipe
    with “Reverse transition”
