  • RAM Preview Missing “Not Realtime” Message

So I’m doing really simple animation of some Photoshop layers and my RAM preview doesn’t run in realtime despite the green bar. I just cleared my cache and set its location to a faster drive to see if that will help, but the real issue I’m having is that AE no longer notifies me that it’s not running in realtime. I’m running Version 16.0.1 on both my mac laptop and windows desktop machines and this issue occurs on both.
Previously in the Preview window, I’d get a little red text notification that’d say something like (Not Realtime – 22fps) but I don’t have that right now. Without the notification, when working without audio I can’t tell if I’m just lagging or if I actually need to adjust my timing, and it’s driving me crazy. Does anyone know if this is gone for good or if I can get it back? Thank you!
