  • How to sync audio and video when they’re half frame out of sync?

    Hi,

I’m working on a project where the audio and video has to be 100% synced. When I zoom in as far as I can in order to line up the waveform, the video clip waveform is off by half a frame to the audio clip. If I move it left or right, it jumps by one frame and is out of sync.

is there a way I can move the clips on the timeline by less than a full frame?

    Thanks!

There are no half frames in video but audio can be moved in smaller increments. I don’t know if AE is capable of this but NLEs do support moving audio in milliseconds/samples.

    That worked, thank you!

    Hey!

Just change the framerate of main composition to x2 (30>60 for example), shift layers, then precompose them and bring framerate back to normal
