  • How and which effect to use?

    Hi,

I am trying to make a nice intro for a website and I want to get something similar to this :
videoI know this is a type of liquid particle or ink particle effect, but is there any specific effect that you guys would suggest me to use? I’ve seen a lot of Particle FX online but none of them seem to make such beautiful fluid effect.

    Thanks for your help,

    Dave

There are so many ways to create that but in that example it looks like they have attached circles to the TrapCode Form plug in at each vertex and used the stock wiggle out of the box. Trapcode Particular could also do this.

Since the particles disappear after some time, Particular is the way to go. Form has persistent particles.

[Kalleheikki Kannisto] “Form has persistent particles.”

Thats true, but you can still map out with opacity. I usually use form for “text-to-sand” effects, even though the setup usually takes a lot longer and you’d probably need to time reverse things. But particular can’t match the options…

Quite true. The sample video looks like Particular with a layer map emitter, but you can do virtually the same in Form. Probably better.

Form is a plug in from the Trapcode set of plug ins – it is available separately but does cost.
Its a particle system that’s based on a mesh.
Its available from Red Giant and Tool Farm and others.

its cc ball action i think..if you add the cc ball action, and start to scatter and twist it…make another copy with smaller balls, then do a linear wipe on both it would work decently well…since you probably dont want to pay that muuch for trapcode form… . the shine is cc light sweep.
