VEGAS Pro preview lagging when editing — any way to fix it?
Hi everyone! I’ve run into a small issue in VEGAS Pro and was wondering if anyone knows a good way to fix it.
When I add a lot of cuts and transitions to a project, the preview starts lagging pretty badly, even though the original video plays fine outside of VEGAS. I’ve tried lowering the preview quality, which helps a little, but it still feels pretty choppy.
Is there anything else I can change to make the timeline preview smoother without having to render the whole project first? Thanks!

You could try enabling GPU acceleration in Options > Preferences > Video, and also make sure your GPU drivers are up to date. For heavier projects, using Dynamic RAM Preview or prerendering just the sections that are lagging can help a lot without rendering the entire project.
