Smooth Vibrato Pitch Shifting
Sometimes when I’m doing sound editing where the pitch needs to be raised or lowered smoothly for long periods of time (think of the sound of a mechanism whirring down or starting up) and use Vegas’s built-in Vibrato plugin, the pitch abruptly spikes up or down after 1 second. Does anyone have a solution to stop this issue?

Hello! I think the issue is that VEGAS’s built-in Vibrato effect isn’t really designed for a long, continuously changing pitch. Some Vibrato settings are non-in-place effects and can behave unexpectedly over longer events. I’d try splitting the audio into shorter sections and applying the effect separately, or using VEGAS’s pitch-shift/time-stretch controls instead of Vibrato for a gradual pitch change.Hope that helps!
