Sohonet Launches Media Fabric: A Unified Managed Infrastructure Suite for Film, Television and Post-Production

Sohonet today launched Media Fabric, a fully managed infrastructure suite that unifies networking, cloud access, security and data movement for film, television and post-production workflows. Previously offered as separate services, Media Fabric brings Sohonet’s complete infrastructure portfolio together under one operational model to give studios, creative service providers and production teams a single, secure foundation to rely on as projects scale across locations and into the cloud. Media Fabric will be showcased at NAB 2026 in the West Hall, Booth W3423.

Production teams today face a widening gap as workflows become more distributed, tools move to the cloud, and internal resources shrink. Media Fabric is designed to close that gap. It replaces the complexity of coordinating multiple vendors and point solutions with one managed suite, backed by Sohonet’s 30 years of expertise serving the media and entertainment industry.

“The demands on media infrastructure have changed: more locations, cloud-heavy workflows, rising security needs, and fewer spare hands to support it all,” said Chuck Parker, CEO of Sohonet. “Media Fabric is the invisible thread that holds it together, unifying connectivity, cloud access, security and data movement into one managed suite of services designed for how production teams work today.”

Media Fabric Up Close

Media Fabric spans the core infrastructure layers that creative and technical teams depend on daily. Services are grouped into three areas:

Connectivity and Access: Media-optimized network connectivity, flexible multi-cloud access, and LAN and Wi-Fi services that keep teams connected on set, in the studio, and across remote locations.

Security and Compliance: Studio-grade security, secure remote access, and colocation and data center services that protect content and maintain compliance throughout the production lifecycle.

Data Movement and Collaboration: Media file transfer and delivery, always-on media sync across locations, and remote shared workspaces that ensure artists and pipeline teams can work with the right assets wherever they are.

Completing the Data Movement Picture: Partnership with Resilio

A key element of Media Fabric’s data movement capabilities is Sohonet’s partnership with Resilio, whose technology powers high-speed file synchronization and transfer across distributed production environments. The integration of Resilio’s platform into Media Fabric completes Sohonet’s data movement suite, bridging the gap between the artists who create media assets and the technical pipeline managers who need to move, version and deliver them reliably across sites.

For productions operating across multiple facilities or between on-premises and cloud environments, the Resilio partnership ensures that large media files can sync continuously and predictably, without the bottlenecks of traditional transfer methods. Combined with Sohonet’s managed connectivity and security services, this gives Media Fabric customers a fully integrated path from content creation through delivery.

Built for Leaner Teams

Media Fabric is delivered as a fully managed service, designed to extend customer teams with Sohonet’s specialist engineers and operational expertise. As internal IT and infrastructure teams across the industry have grown leaner, the burden of coordinating multiple vendors, maintaining security standards, and keeping distributed workflows running has intensified. Media Fabric consolidates these responsibilities under one supported model, allowing organizations to reduce internal overhead, improve reliability, and standardize best practices across sites and productions without expanding headcount.

Bundle-Based Pricing

Customers adopting multiple Media Fabric services benefit from bundle-based pricing, with discounts of up to 30% as they add more services. Customers can adopt the full suite or select individual components aligned to their workflow requirements, with pricing incentives that increase alongside the breadth of their adoption.
