“Include Source XMP Metadata” – Yes or No when exporting ProRes?
Should I enable “Include Source XMP Metadata” when exporting Quicktime ProRes from AE (to edit in, for example, Premiere Pro)? In which case could this come in handy when working in Premiere or other editing applications?
- Please note: This is only a theoretical question and I don’t have any delivery specifications, I’m just curious if I should use this or not.

I think “Include Project Link” is more useful — that lets you use Premiere’s “Edit Original” context menu command to open the AEP file that produced a render.
“Include Source XMP Metadata” will put a bunch of metadata about all the sources used in your AEP into the rendered file. Premiere might be able to inspect it, but I don’t know that you can do much useful with that without custom tools.
