  Cinema 4D Dimensions

  Hi guys, one thing has me continually stumped. After an object is made editable, how on earth can you find its size? For example, if I create a cube, set the dimensions to 140 x 20 x 40, press ‘C’ and then use the Knife to dissect it is make it a wedge, I cannot see any way to now find what the dimensions are to alter them – say make it 150 rather than 140

  Hi David,

  Cinema 4D is not designed to be a CAD drawing tool as much as it is a modeling and rendering that transforms ideas into visual phenomena, for that purpose it is sufficient to be the rapports between the components of the scene proportional and the dimensions don’t need to be set in millimeters, so this was not at the top of the priorities of the program developers. However, there are ways to know the size of standard objects after making them editable by using points or using Quantize options. I tried to explain in the screen recording below. I hope this is useful to you.
