3d AE camera following a moving car
Hello every one,
i was wondering if you could give me a hand on “putting a 3d AE camera just behind a moving car and follow the car’s path”, like the below attached car race video..

how is the car animated? why can’t you link the camera to its position controler?

What i have done so far is ;
– i linked the 3d camera’s x,y,z positions to the 3d position of a moving 3d car’s null with below scripts
“thisComp.layer(“Car_Controller_NULL “).transform.position[0]
“thisComp.layer(“Car_Controller_NULL “).transform.position[1]
“thisComp.layer(“Car_Controller_NULL “).transform.position[2]but for some reason, the camera goes faster than the car ? I cant know what mistake i did 🙁

is your reference car already rendered? I mean, are you rendering the car’s position with the same null’s properties that you’re linking the camera? Because it can be a matter of media interpretation. Tell me more of your workflow and if you can, post some Screenshots.
