    Peace to all

Could anyone please advise me on how to solve this. I have a couple of video clips to which I added various fx in Premiere. They look fine when exported in the original 4K, but get a lot of video noise when exported at 1080p.

I could run them thru Neat Video but I wouldn’t actually be able to see any before/after difference because they already look very good in Premiere.

I used the recommended HQ export settings for Vimeo (H.264). I wonder if I should try prores 422 instead? Anyway, I suppose it’s the compression to 1080p that’s causing the noise.

Could you please help me with this?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi,

After your eyes get used to 4K, even 1080 looks terrible. Especially with some heavy effects and noisy videos, it gets worse. I don’t know how you did but at least it should be around 30MBps and CBR option selected for encoding for H.264. Vimeo and youtube will convert it again to optimize so it is always best to export as high as possible. Prores 422 is another option to try if more space isn’t a problem.

Thank you, Devrim. I did a test of one clip using prores 422 and it came out nice! Now I’m looking at another one that has some kind of grimy noise probably due to low light and added scale fx. Hoping Neat Video can handle it.
