Hi! I was waiting to see if someone with more intimate knowledge of this subject would answer your question. It seems no one has, so let me jump in.

What you’re looking for is an adapter from Canon mount to Sony e-mount. There are basic ones that just adapt from one company’s mount to another. There are also ones called a Speedbooster that make it so you gain another stop (hence the “speedbooster” name). The most well-known is Metabones but there are other companies that make both of these types as well. Google “canon mount to sony e-mount lens” or similar. Or search on the B&H website.

I worked with a camera guy who used Canon and Tamron (with Canon mount) lenses on his Sony FS7 with a Metabones Speedbooster for a number of years. We did all kinds of national work (CBS, ESPN, “Inside Edition”, “Dr. Phil”, etc.) as well as lots of corporate work with no complaints.

    Good luck.
