    Hi there !

Do you think this build is alright for running After Effect ?

    Intel Double Xeon E5620 16 x 2.66 Ghz (24M Cache , 2.66 Ghz)
    DDR3 12GB ECC
    Nvidia Quadro fx 3800
    HDD 500 GB

I know it’s old, I’m just looking for something not too expensive that will make me run AE without too many problems.

it will run AE fine. We still have a couple similar MacPros and they run the later creative cloud version pretty well, not as fast as the the later Core i7 iMacs (ours our 2015 iMacs).

It does run somethings much faster than the iMacs do… software that can better utilize more cores run faster on on the MacPro. MPEG Streamclip is one that we’ve noticed runs faster on the old 2009 (or 2010) MacPro than the 2013 iMacs we have.

    Still running 2010 2.93 w. Quadro FX 4800 and 4000.
I’m fine with CC2017 with a few odd graphics issues when rendering to AME.
Once the issue comes up, I just crash it and start again.
I keep CC2015 if I run into any issues.
I always have two versions of my files.
