Ultimately, what I’m trying to do is shown in the attached “Wave Example.mp4”

My Test-2.c4d file is my attempt to recreate it.

I’m trying to animate an axis line to follow a sine wave spline with one end of the line “growing/shrinking” along with the Y position of the sine wave while the other end of the line stays at the same Y position but follows the X position.

I’ve attached the project file and a draft animation. It seems the X position of the line along the Zero point is lagging behind somehow. It’s as if its one step behind the calculation and the line doesn’t stay straight because of this.

    Can someone please help?
