I’ve asked this question on this forum before, but ask for your indulgence to pose it again, in case there have been any changes.

For a low-budget non-profit client, I have to record interviews over the internet. I’ve used Zoom, but the quality has been mediocre. Can you recommend any software that would give me higher quality?

The interviewees are unlikely to agree (or be able to) to load software on their laptop or phone.

For RECORDED interviews, I learned from the experts here that Riverside.fm is the best solution. Is that still the case? What about a live event solution?

    Thank you very much.

    Hey Bob,

I have recently started using Google Meet as I upgraded my Google Drive to a 2TB paid version. Which comes with several benefits apart from the user being able to use a html link to log in without downloading software. It has this description:

    Google Workspace premium features

    • Enhanced appointment scheduling on Calendar

Create multiple booking pages for different types of appointments, set up automatic email reminders and connect multiple calendars to avoid conflicts.

    • Enhanced video calls on Meet

Enjoy longer group video calls, call recording and noise cancellation.

    • Live streaming on YouTube

Let people watch your Meet video call without joining.

I have a few people that I meet with regularly. As I am already a “heavy” user of Google Calendar, it makes a big difference that my Google Meet link is included in all of my Calendar invites.

Still working up to doing a Live Streaming on YouTube. But what I take away from that feature, is that Google Meet are using YouTube high-quality network and processing for Google Meet.
