AE CC17 ‘roughen edges’ very pixilated
anyone encountered the ‘roughen edges’ effect, in my case on a text layer, looks really pixilated/aliased when ‘edge sharpness’ isn’t super-low (very blurry)? i’ve noticed it on solids before too, and i tried a text to shape layer; same. i never noticed it before in older versions of ae…
nothing else contributing, i don’t think; full res, ‘quality sampling’ highest… here’s a screen shot:

the pixels are all showing on the angles and curves; it’s stairsteppy. roughen edges intends random irregularities which works on image files, and on masks usually, although not in the case of text, i’m finding.
