Hi Community, could use some input here. Never ran into this issue before but now it’s a problem.

I need to export separate WAVs for a client who requires standalone M&E Wavs in addition to program masters.

I’ve routed my audio correctly (tracks 3+4 are routed to 3+4). I’ve Solo’d tracks 3+4 so the full stereo mix on 1+2 is not included.

The first conundrum I run into is in export settings. The option for 2 channels in the Channels dropdown is missing — I’m looking at Mono, Stereo, 3CH, and 4ch. I don’t remember seeing 3CH before, is this a new change with a recent update? The client needs 2 channels of L/R Mono for M&E, but I’m only seeing the option to create a single stereo stream or jump to 3 channels?

Anyways, the main issue is that the export doesn’t contain sound when I export the Solo’d 3+4 channels. However, if I drop the M&E up onto tracks 1+2, the export DOES contain the audio.

What is going on here? I’ve never had an issue exporting ch3+4 audio before.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

    Hey David,

The quick way is to mute the other tracks, and export each Wave as an ISO file.
If client can use it, you could also give them an AAF file.

Premiere Pro has always been a dog at exporting multi-tracks. It depends on what “codec” you are using for the Sequence and there is several places where you can route them out to the right track, whilst still not do it.

Slightly older solution, but looks like what I would use today + Jarle walked in on this one, so you should be OK:

    Hope that this helps?

Edit: PS: When I check my multitrack exports, I re-import into PPro and add to copy of timeline at the end of it.
