Missing Renders in Premiere Pro
Hey everyone. Having a problem with Premeire Pro. Working on a project and every time I open it, I have to re-render certain areas of the timeline. It’s a complex timeline and it takes 30 minutes each time. This is driving me nuts. Everything is pointing in the right place and I’m not getting any notification of missing renders upon re-opening. Anyone have a solution for this?

Seems to be that certain parts of the timeline may not be properly cached or in my case before when I had this issue on Vegas Pro for example, certain files may have been corrupted upon passing to Premiere Pro and cannot run properly. That causes it to be re-rendered every time you open the project.
Here are a few things you can try to solve this issue:
1.) Look up for any error messages that may pop up while dealing with this rendering issue. You can also check warnings in the Media Cache tab of the Media Browser. There could be some issues there sometimes that may need to be cleared or re-built. You can do this by clicking the Media Cache Tab and then select “Clear Media Cache” or “Rebuild Database”.
2.) Make sure you are using the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro. Sometimes even the new updates may not also work with certain files and viceversa. Updating can resolve some of these issues too.
3.) Try a new project and test the files you had in your previous timeline and put it on a simplier one to see if it works better if you put the problem footage there. If no issues arises there, then there could be something wrong with the project file itself and may have to remake the project from scratch. I usually copy paste portions of the previous project from the timeline and integrade it in the new one to see if it runs better that way. Be sure to try different experiments on it.
4.) Check your workspace layout and it may be worthwhile to reset it to see if these can also fix your issue. There could be some layouts conflicting with some files of the timeline that you may not be aware about.
If none of those works, then I suggest you contact Adobe Support directly for further assistance.

Adding to Hector’s excellent advice.
I would go full out and delete all render files and trash the preferences.
Also, we don’t know about your hardware. Are you on a PC or Mac?
And, what media drive are you using?
Is it internal or external?
If external, and it disconnects from your computer, either through you powering down, or drive going in to sleep mode. This could “disrupt” the project. Although not logically, just worth checking where your media is, and where your render folders are placed.Atb
