    Hello everyone!

I’m stuck with what I think is a newbie problem and I would appreciate any input on the issue.

The thing is that I have a keyframed animated linear wipe on several rectangles that works as a “curtain” that reveals the video underneath when they open from the center. I have keyframed the In & Out animations but I would like to add a wiggle effect to work on the linear wipe only while “the curtains” are open.

Is there a way to apply a wiggle to a linear wipe that is already keyframed? All info I could find is related to keyframe the wiggle effect (with the slider control)

    Thanks!

Indeed it is possible to apply a Wriggle to a linear wipe that already is within the keyframes. This is what I found after doing some research! Follow these steps in order to do this:

    1. Apply the “Wiggle” effect to the layer that contains the linear wipe.
    2. In the “Wiggle” effect’s properties, you can adjust the “Amplitude” and “Frequency” parameters to your desired level of wiggle.
    3. Adjust the “Phase” parameter to determine at what point in the animation the wiggle should start. This will determine the timing of the wiggle.
    4. You can also adjust the “Random Seed” parameter to control which parts of the animation the wiggle effect will affect.
    5. Preview the animation to see how the wiggle is affecting the linear wipe.
    6. Adjust the parameters as needed to get the desired effect.

I really hope this helps, any questions, feel free to ask to see if you need further help!

Thank you so much for your response. I got it working flawlessly with a slider control for amplitude, for better animation control.

My mistake was trying to use the self-referencing linear wipe expression with some math and the wiggle expression instead of just REPLACING the expression with the wiggle…ockham’s blade at its finest.

    Cheers and thanks again!
