A client has asked me to italicize a few words in a sentence. I have a CC track in Premiere and have tried the “faux italic” in Essential Graphics and changing font (Calibri) to Italic and in both cases, I can see the text italicized in my timeline and when I export with them burned on, but when I create a sidecar SRT file (deliverable format), the italics don’t show up.

Is there a different way I’m supposed to do this, or is this not possible?

    Hey James,

SRT file is the most basic of basic, to make it universal across all media.

Think of it like saving a complex word.doc (with pictures and all) as .txt file – you will only end up with numbers and text.
There are other formats, but you are most likely to end back at where you are now. With a video file that has Burned-in-text on it with italics, and one without subtitles with a SRT file to go with it.

    Hope that this helps?
