  • Simulation with dynamic body tags, how can I stop objects from vibrating?

I’m using dynamic body tags to simulate needles getting stuck in these villi (a close-up of what’s going on inside a cow’s stomach).

After a couple of seconds, the needles float off which I’ve used an attractor modifier to achieve.

But I can’t seem to get it right and the needles vibrate like crazy.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated and you can find the project file here if it helps:

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

generally, this kind of thing can be addressed by making sure the scale of the scene is correct (I think, c4d prefers things to be more than 10cm, maybe even bigger to calculate correctly although maybe someone with more brains than me can offer an opinion!) , and also increasing the sub-steps etc for the sim.

I apologise i didnt look at your scene, although thanks for providing, I just cant download at the mo.

    Hello,

I have tinkered a little bit with the settings and I got to a point where the needles don’t vibrate. I baked the animation so it runs realtime. You can clear the cache and it will play .
