  What is the depth/volume effect used in this Kenzo commercial?

  Hi everyone,

  I was wondering what would be the closest way to achieve this effect, in the sequence starting at 0:18 in the video.
  It seems like some sort of depth map that uses colors as a scale of value.
  In your opinion, was it made in After Effects, Cinema 4D, etc…? Could it be a specific plugin?

  If one would do that in C4d it becomes somewhat simple. Get a fractal image such as those. Add a high res plane, a displacer deformer that maps luminance to height. Use the same image as a difuse texture and you’re pretty much half way there. The rest are camera moves and some extra displacements/subdivides.
