    I’ve been using After Effects for many years now and I’ve never seen this before. Basically anything that gets created exists for only 1 frame. Adjustment layers, Solids, Shapes, Nulls, Cameras, you name it, once created only exists for one frame. I can then extend to the end of the comp but that is really annoying.

    I hope someone here has come across this problem cause is driving me insane.

    Somehow your preferences setting for Import — Still Footage was changed to 1 frame, which will also control the length of all new layers, lights, nulls, cameras, etc. Set it to “Length of Composition,” or whatever length you prefer in the setting below that. If that isn’t the problem you may need to restore the default preferences file to correct possible corruption.
