  • How to make pdf auto scrolling, smoothly, in Premiere Pro?

Posted by Aleksandar Pavicic on June 27, 2023 at 7:08 pm

So I have an pdf. To be clear, I went to an page made screenshot(on iphone devices you have option to screenshot wholepage, it makes pdf). So I want to put that pdf in premiere pro, and be like auto scrolling. Something like when you see ads of an app’s that have scrolling trough their app. So this, or If you have an advice for making it, because I want to have scroll shot from that an site/app but dont know how to make it. Thanks to all!

    Hey Aleksandar,

Premiere Pro can not import PDF files.

Alternative is to export to PNG from Adobe Acrobat or Photoshop (you can also import as PSD files into PPro).

With regard to movement and compositing, you’ll need to do that in the PPro Sequence using a mix of masking and effects, and the effect control panel for key-framing.

If adventurous, you can also jump to After Effects and do it there.

I love the idea of after effects being such a scary thing. I agree with Mads, you should begin using aftereffects, on the long run it will save you so much time.
