Dissappearing Layers when using the camera
Posted by Daniel Schultz on May 2, 2023 at 4:30 pmHello! I have some shape and text layers that disappear and reappear when I zoom in with the camera. This seems to happen when Smoothing is ON. I have each layer set to 3d. Any thoughts? Thanks much!

May 2, 2023 at 5:31 pmHey Daniel,
You can try adjusting the composition’s rendering settings, such as lowering the resolution or decreasing the complexity of the layers. You can also try adjusting the camera settings, such as increasing the depth of field or changing the focus distance, to see if it affects the disappearing layers.
If not understand this,
Watch this carefully.
Best Regards
Shahan.

It sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with the Continuously Rasterize (or Collapse Transformations) setting in After Effects.
When Continuously Rasterize is enabled for a layer, it allows the layer to maintain its sharpness and resolution regardless of how much it is scaled or zoomed in on. However, if there are other effects or settings applied to the layer, such as the Smoothing setting you mentioned, it can cause the layer to disappear or reappear when zooming in.
To fix this issue, try the following:
Make sure Continuously Rasterize is turned off: Select the layer in question, and look for the Continuously Rasterize (or Collapse Transformations) switch in the layer’s switches panel. If it is turned on, turn it off and see if that resolves the issue.
Adjust the layer’s scaling: If the layer is still disappearing when zooming in, try adjusting its scaling or position to see if that helps. Sometimes, the issue can be caused by the layer being too small or off-screen when zoomed in.
Check other layer settings: If the issue persists, check the layer’s other settings, such as its opacity or blending mode, to see if any of them are causing the problem.
If none of these solutions work, you may want to reach out to the Adobe support team for further assistance
