  Blending Options Missing / Inaccessible in AE v23

  I’ve noticed (only recently) that often layers are missing “Blending Options” under “Layer Styles”.

  It seems to be in cases where I’ve copied and pasted a layer style from one layer to another or imported a PSD with existing layer styles.

  I’ve used AE for decades and this feels like a recent development.

  I can reliably make Blending Options reappear by adding a new layer style via the Layers menu (and then deleting it), but I wonder if there’s a way to simply toggle on Blending Options without going through a gimmicky workaround?

  could it be that you have the renderer set to C4D? blending modes dont work with that.
