Tripod slightly moved – reframing clips automatically?
Hi there,
To begin with, let me say that I’m more in the Motion Graphics side, I only edit video very occasionally, so this is probably a very newbie question. Please be kind with me 😀
I’ve been editing some very simple videos, mostly long fixed camera shots that must be shortened. I’ve noticed that in some clips, the camera has slightly moved, giving these cuts a very unpleasant effect. In most cases it can be corrected reframing with position+scale, but it’s very time consuming, and sometimes apparently the tripod has moved too, making some clips really difficult to match.
Now the job is done, but I’m pretty sure there must be a way to automate this, making this task trivial in the future. Something like the warp stabilizer but apllied to several clips at once?
This has probably been answered before, but I promise that I used the search tool and found nothing. Maybe I’m not using the correct terms.

Try camera tracking a rendered clip.
Not sure if you can do that with a comped sequenced (files).

Thanks, the idea looked promising, but it didn’t work for my case. Nesting the clips inside Premiere works but or the native warp stabilizer isn’t very good or maybe not suited for this job. The results are a bit poor, the image “floats” in the conflictive moments.
I’ve tried messing with the different methods and settings, even moving the sequence to after effects and trying there, with similar results.

Im curious how much it reframes.
In some cases maybe create a ref layer and try to do it manually frame by frame.
Not sure if there is a one-button push for your issues.
