Insert and Overwrite Not Working in Premier
Hi All,
Having a strange problem. If I try to insert edit from the source window the fit clip window appears and tells me “the source is longer than the destination” and even when I’ve tried to use one of the fit clip choices it puts the clip in the wrong spot, but always in the same place in the timeline.
I have done an exhaustive search and can find nothing on it expect making sure that the source patching buttons are on and they are.
What is unclear is why this is happening on this session as I have opened up another project and it seems to work, but that doesn’t help me as I have gotten as far as I can without this important function.
Could it have something to do with what I am inserting? Or is there a bug on the timeline? Could it be the overall size of the file, because I am taking clips from feature length sources.
I need to move on so this is kind of important as I’ve already done an assembly and the only work around that I can see is that I would have to constantly move the whole sequence when I want to insert something.
Any help would be sincerely appreciated…
Thanks in advance…
