  Hi,

  I try to apply text style to a text layer with this expression:

  text.sourceText.style.setFontSize(100).setText("My text");

  It should work well, but this message pops up.

  “Property or method named ‘style’ in Class’TextProperty’ is missing or does not exist”

  Have you got any idea how I can fix it?

  1. You need to be using at least After Effects v17. (I think this is when text style expressions were added.)

  2. You need to have the modern Javascript expression engine selected. This should be on in new projects be default, but in case it’s not, open your Project Settings, then in the Expressions tab, choose “Javascript” instead of “Legacy ExtendScript.”

  I started to search in PREFERENCES … and re-read your message and found it in PROJECT SETTINGS.
