Offset at time / Slow parent speed as it goes away from a object.
Hey everyone!
I’m trying to write an expression to slow down the position animation of a child layer as it goes away from a null.
For context, I’m doing a globe animation, and I applied Optics Compensation to give a 3D look to the pre-comped map while using a null across comps to control the world map position without moving the Optics view center.
So I’m trying to find a way to pin down objects in the globe and match the movement of the map since it gets distorted closer to the edge. I’m using the same null that controls the map inside the pre-comp to move objects outside.
I tried to scale down as it goes close to the center but didn’t find the right way to control the position speed.
I would appreciate it if anyone also knows a better approach to this situation; thanks!
