  Offline Script Sync Clips

  Hi all,

  I recently went through a mass of avid media files being deleted and a bunch of footage/sequences/multi-groups going offline in my project. Have finally managed to get everything back online, multi-groups and all. The last issue is the scripts in my project. The multi-groups are still offline in the scripts. I was able to drop the online multi-group into the scripts that are in english and script sync again which worked out, but I have some scripts that are not in english, so were script synced manually. These took a lot of time to do and I want to try anything to avoid having to do these again.

  Any suggestions on how to get the offline multi-group clips in a script to re-link? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

  Refreshing scripts with consolidated media in Avid

  1. Open all scripts you want to refresh, the thumbnail of the clips at the top of each script will show media offline.

  2. Right-click and relink all the clips to the drive you are working on and this will refresh the scripts.

  for some reason, if you relink without the scripts open it won’t refresh the clip reference.
