VFX Delivery from Sony RAW
Hello forum
I am about to do some VFX on footage from Sony Venice, 6K 6048X4032 using Sony Raw.
I have native MXF files that I open in After Effects (interpreting to S Gamut3/S-Log3)
I would automatically deliver ProRes4444XQ files, but I was wondering if I should consider a different approach.
Mainly because the QT ProRes will be double the size of the footage (MXF)
Is the a way to get smaller files while retaining data file to the max?

IT doesn’t matter that your delivered file is larger than the source. The source is compressed Raw that Sony makes, and you cannot export in that same format. If you wanted it to be smaller, you could export in ProRes4444 if you wanted to.. But to retain the highest quality, use ProRes4444XQ.

Rendering to Prores4444XQ will render a bit more than double the original.
I have many files.
