  Dual monitor setup keeps crashing while using Avid

  Hi, I am working with a dual monitor setup consisting of an Imac I9 2020 (Big Sur 11.4) and a NEC PA271. For some unknown reason, both monitors goes black and freeze after 15-30 minutes of running Avid (version 21.9) and/or Photoshop (2021) So I have to force shutdown and reboot manually.

  This is really annoying and it only happens if i’m working with one of those 2 apps… I’m also working with Premiere and AE and those works fine, so I don’t understand. Monitors are connected via Tb3/displayport adapter. This bug never occurs while running my older Imac. I tried to change the cables, but the problem persist. Any ideas? Thanks!

  So the NEC is connected directly to the iMac via a display port cable with a thunderbolt to display port adapter? If so, have you tried changing the adapter? I normally use Apple, Belden, or whatever OWC says will work.
