Would love to hear from any color management experts.
For normal SDR footage and linear .exr image sequences is there any advantage in color correcting in HDR or Davinci’s Wide Gamut color space instead of using ACEs?

In my case the content is primarily sfx and sequence renders from Houdini and Unreal Engine.
Does it matter if your source .exrs are 32 bit or not?

    Thanks for any feedback!

My take is simple. I’m shooting BRAW with BM cameras. I choose YRGB Color Managed and Wide Gamut but output Rec709. That way I am effectively able to come back to a project later and change the output to pretty much anything, knowing the gamut & color space before that final transform is greater than any current outputs.
