I’m trying to create little line graphs like these (attached). I tried using a random position expression to move an emitter up and down generating the line, but it doesn’t match the design very well. What I’d like to do is be able to control the start position (Y) of the emitter and have the emitter move up from there with a cap on how high it can go. If the X position could be free to move wherever I need it, that would be great, too.

Also, if there’s a better way to do this kind of thing without using a particle emitter, I’d love to learn how!

Hey Jason, attachment is missing unfortunately. Do you have an idea how many dots you would want to have? it sounds like simple interpolation of points in Y could do it, but depends on how many points there to be.

You’re right! I guess I can’t copy/paste graphics into a post. I would think no more than 5 dots would be needed to make a variety of little graphs like these.
