  how much to charge for private lessons

  hey gang! I have someone who is wanting private lessons in AE fundamentals, and I don’t know how much to charge for such a service. has anyone given lessons or tutoring before that can maybe give me an idea of a fair number to start with? I know what I spent learning my craft, so I want it to be fair to me, but I also want it to be fair for the client…any thoughts would be appreciated!

  For beginner lessons in AE I charged $30/hr, but I was a college student, not a working professional. Might give you a baseline. Hope it goes well!

  depends on how good a teacher you are..How ,much they learn from you that makes it worthwhile to keep paying for the service..

  Curious, but economic psychology suggests that folks value what they pay for and find more value at higher price-points. So you might think–and again depending on your experience and skill–$45-50/hr
