  • Can you control just one keyframe with another layer?

I’m working on an element in after effects that will be controlled in premiere and I want to be able to change the alignment in premiere. I have an alignment script connecting the position to a text layer so that when the user enters 1 or 2 the position will change in premiere. The problem is that the object moves, so I need one alignment at keyframe A and another alignment at keyframe B. And there are multiple objects that need to have the same alignment like this. Is there a way to parent a single keyframe in each layer to another layer so that I can adjust the position of just that keyframe of each layer together by moving the control layer?

    thanks!

We could definitely write an expression to handle this, but I’ll need a lot more insight into your setup to be helpful. How are the values you have generated? What is keyframed, and how should the alignment values change between keyframes?

Posting even a stripped-down AEP will help a lot.
