  Fast image processing utils

  Hi Folks,

  Could anyone recommend their most efficient image handling utility?

  What is the lightest and fastest way to re-sizing images?

  I’m updating a project with approx 28,000 jpeg frames at a resolution of 28,000 x 4,000.

  An extra second processing time per frame means 7 more hours for the whole sequence, so every fraction of a second counts!

  I’m rendering out at full size but want to create low res preview versions to speed up checking and use for proxies in the final comp.

  UI is good although Batch file command line is fine as well if it’s quicker.

  I know there are few like XNview etc. just wondering what your favourites are,
