    Hi there,

I’m looking into a refurbished iMac Pro (mainly for video editing in Premiere, and a little bit of compositing work in after effects), and am choosing between a machine with the Radeon Pro Vega 64 graphics card vs a machine with the Radeon Pro Vega 64X. The only reason I hesitate on the 64X is because that gfx card is not on adobe’s list of recommended cards for Premiere, but the 64 is.

Im wondering if I should go with the 64 for that reason, even though the 64X is a better card. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I’m not sure why it’s not on the Adobe list.
But on the Mac side of things, Adobe requirements were never an issue from my years with Apple/Adobe.

Did you do the research on their differences?
Seems to be a few naysayers on the 64x out there.

I can’t answer the question about the 64X; however, our facility has five 2017 iMac Pros (10-core, 64GB RAM, Vega 64 16GB). We bought them right when that Mac was introduced. These machines are workhorses and perform well with the Adobe apps, Resolve, Media Composer, FCP, etc.
