Hi, I’m trying to synchronize 2 composited visual elements in Vegas 18. Specifically I have a video shot of a slow pan of a field and I have composited a still green screen image of the sun on top of this. I want to move the image of the sun so it is in perfect synchronization with the pan of the field i.e. so it looks like a shot of the sun shining over the field. Is there a (relatively) easy way to do this? I’ve been attempting to animate the movement of the sun photo using pan/scan point but I have not had luck getting it to be smooth and in synch with the pan of the field video footage. Thanks for your help.

Hi! Do some searching on Vegas’s motion tracking features.. they are meant to do the kind of thing you are doing.

Basically, it tracks the motion of one event, then applies those key frames to another event’s position so it matches the movement.
