Is there a way to make a template were all the clips can be made to have the same pixel aspect ratio? Or a way to change that for the entire timeline at one time? Right now I have to change it for every clip individually via right click – properties – media tab – then scroll to the aspect ratio I want.

I am scanning 8mm film to a 1440×1080 .avi file and Vegas always defaults to a 1.333 pixel ration and I want to maintain 1.000 so the video does not come looking stretched.

Scripts, such as Excalibur, can change the PAR for all selected events.

I found a pretty simple solution so I thought I would update my post. I saw an old YouTube video that mention being able to change all the clips on your timeline at the same time.

Once all the clips are laid out you can go to the Project Media tab. Select all the clips you want to change. Then right click to get the properties. From there you can change all selected media clips to your preferred PAR.
